These are the behaviors and attitudes that make an individual unique. At Oshwal Academy Nairobi Nursery we believe that all learners are unique and they all need different attention in order to realize their full potential in all aspects of learning and life. We believe in developing holistic learners who can fit well in the global society.
The seven core values of our Academy ie Trust, Honor, Integrity, Courtesy, Tolerance, Compassion and Humility help us to promote personality. Through school projects like Play Practice, Poetry Competition, Spelling Bee and Assemblies the learners get to express themselves and build lots of confidence. Through an enabling environment, play, singing songs, reciting rhymes and dance the learners get an opportunity to mingle freely as the teacher does assess them.
During the extra-curricular classes- Art and Music our teachers are keen to identify the potentials the learners have in order to build on their talents. With the use of the power pets and learning dispositions i.e Responsible, Reflective, Resilient, Respectful, Resourceful and Reciprocity we are able to mould the learners in various positive ways. The use of the magic words also promotes personality development. Our staff is a role model for the learners at all times.
Personality development helps to improve self-esteem. It helps the learners to interact well, understand each other’s needs promoting unity, love and understanding amongst themselves. The learners are encouraged to share, take turns in expressing their thoughts and feelings. All learners are given equal opportunities in regards to participation. We encourage and motivate the learners through awarding them stars in the star chart and praising them. During PESD-Physical Emotional Social development lessons, the learners are exposed to songs, video clips that will reinforce on behavior management. The parents are also involved by sending WOW moments from home for the learners. This promotes the learners to be at their best always.
