INCLUSIVE EDUCATION DEPARTMENT

Hurray!!! It was an eye-popping experience to invite our learners back to IED at OSHWAL ACADEMY NAIROBI NURSERY after a long gap due to global pandemic.

Robyn Nola said, and I quote, “Butterflies are nature’s angels” learners are the school’s angels, their presence makes the school lively and energetic. Our Inclusive Education Department learners resumed school with great enthusiasm and fervor.

Beautifully said that “Every Child in your class is someone’s whole world.”

Mostly our learners with special needs enjoy personal attention and sustain less socialization. This inbuilt behaviour currently assists them in maintaining social distance which is the main protocol of Covid 19.  We are proud of the measures taken by our school to ensure high safety against the Coronavirus. Temperature is noted at both pickup and dropping time. The resources and surroundings are continuously disinfected after every use. The face mask is used by both staff and learners. Learners wash their hands after good intervals to keep clean and promoted to eat healthy food.

The journey of learning and wellbeing of our learners has begun, soon we will be able to conclude the development of our learners and commence the implementation of an Individual Education Plan with the Nursery Headmistress, IED team and parent’s involvement and agreement.

This is yet another new year that will see our learners moving from one stage to another. This implies our learners will get to learn various things in our new IED class hence drawing closer and closer to reach the targeted goals. Oshwal Academy Nairobi Nursery’s Head Mrs. Rooma Mali and her team is here to make sure that our learners have a pleasant experience. We take pride in appreciating the dedicated and hardworking staff and the committed parents to partner effectively to meet the specific needs of each student. Parents who wanted to bring a difference in their child with special needs have joined us and working hand in hand to develop their children in a safe and nurturing environment.

Stay blessed and happy schooling.
