Academic development and a secure school environment, encompassing emotional and physical well-being, are essentially related. Cultivating children’s understanding of their safety within the school setting is paramount, and instilling this awareness from an early age is crucial for their holistic development.
To proactively address this need and educate young learners in an age-appropriate manner, Oshwal Academy Nairobi Nursery will host an educational event focusing on diverse aspects of child safety. This initiative is scheduled for Reception learners during school hours on Friday, 2nd May 2025, and aims to empower learners with essential knowledge and skills for self-protection.
The activity is designed to enhance learners’ capacity to identify potential risks and understand effective safety strategies. By fostering this awareness, the school endeavors to create a learning environment where children feel secure, thereby promoting optimal academic engagement and overall well-being. This proactive approach to safety education aligns with the understanding that a safe and supportive atmosphere is a foundational prerequisite for effective learning and positive developmental outcomes.
