“From Nursery Rhymes to Diwali Chimes, our little learners make the best times!”
Diwali, also known as the Festival of Lights, is a significant Hindu festival celebrated by millions of people around the world. The word “Diwali” itself means a row of lamps, and the festival is marked by the lighting of lamps and candles, symbolizing the triumph of light over darkness, good over evil, and knowledge over ignorance.
Throughout the festival, wearing new cultural attire, exchanging gifts, visiting friends and family, and enjoying traditional sweets like ladoos and jalebis are common customs. Diwali is also a time for introspection and spiritual reflection, with many people seeking blessings for a prosperous and harmonious life.
Beyond its religious and cultural significance, Diwali holds a broader message of unity, compassion, and the triumph of good values. It is celebrated not only by Hindus but also by people of various faiths and backgrounds, making it a truly inclusive and joyous occasion.
Diwali festival will be celebrated at school on Friday, November 10th 2023, during school hours. Learners will be engaged in several art and craft activities. Kindly dress your ward in traditional dress and provide some snacks for them to share with their peers.
