Everything in a Montessori classroom is designed to support a child’s growth and learning. According to Montessori, a child’s active investigation of their environment leads to this growth. They don’t require the excess of features that many Montessori toys offer to capture interest. Toys that are simple in nature, according to the Montessori community, enable a child to explore that toy more actively rather than passively amusing them, as may be the case with toys that include loud sounds and brilliant lights. A different event on Montessori toys, entitled Montessori Musing, will be organized by OANN.
