The Oshwal Academy Nairobi Nursery held a free health check-up camp on Friday, October 29th, and Saturday, October 30th, 2021. According to our school, Human health is the most valuable possession and must be protected. Joshua Holtz states, “Wellness is a connection of path: Knowledge and Action.” Furthermore, because today’s students are the nation’s future, their health must be protected. As we had expected, a large number of learners came with their parents for a health check-up.
This medical check-up was truly yet another unique way to create heath check awareness through a free medical camp to the staff and parents. Our school administration collaborated with MediLife to set up the medical camp because we care and hear when our people need it the most. A free general body check-up, eye, and dental care were set up. There were various kits, tools, and posters from respective departments to encourage learners to explore. Our staff, OERB officers, and students had their eyes, teeth, and overall health examined. Every consultant had provided a report summary and a recommendation for additional treatment if necessary, once the medical check-up was completed. The Camp was a huge success, and everyone benefited from it. There was an overwhelming response from parents and the school is satisfied ensuring their families’ health. “Health is the wealth” is the fact learned from Covid 19. All protocol was observed in the process.
