Learning difficulties are also called learning disabilities. It is an umbrella term for a wide range of learning problems that impacts an individual’s ability in gaining knowledge and skills at the same rate as peers. It also does not mean one is less intelligent, it means their way of learning is different; most of them are as intelligent as any other individual.
The term “LEARNING DIFFICULTIES” covers a wide range of conditions from Dyslexia and Attention Hyperactive Deficit Disorder (ADHD) to Down syndrome. Learning difficulties can affect people of all ages; however, they are particularly problematic for children who are learning how to read and write.
As learning in a traditional methodology is challenging these children need a different strategy, training and customized lessons to overcome the challenge and excel in academics. The gamut of the teaching strategy should be reaching the learner like the saying “If children can’t learn the way you teach, teach the way they learn.”
At Oshwal academy Nairobi Nursery we identify our learner’s capability as early as possible and our experts from both the Inclusive Education Department and Learning Support Department act professionally in overcoming the challenges. Every learner is given individual attention and the plan specific to the learner. Our program is always successful and mostly our learners conquer the challenges easily.
