‘Great ability develops and reveals itself increasingly with every new assignment’ by Baltasar Gracian.
The Kindergarten and Reception learners of Oshwal Academy Nairobi Nursery have an ocean of hidden gifts and talents. This was displayed in a special show – NURSERY’S GOT TALENT, which premiered on Friday, 30 October 2020 at 5:00pm, in all our social media platforms. The main reason behind organizing and showcasing this event was to nurture the intrinsic qualities of each learner, build their confidence and develop each learner’s personality.
The show kicked off with the National Anthem and prayers, then The Head of School Mrs Rooma Mali gave an opening speech about the importance of nurturing the gifts and talents with a strong early year’s foundation to learners. As the show continued, the Year group Coordinator Ms Mercy Jamoza and Ms Joyce Olibe also spoke about the various ways OANN ensures that each child’s talent is discovered, nurtured to grow and how they are all given an opportunity to pursue their interests.
The show was breath-taking. There was a lot of energy and great excitement. There was an array of all kinds of talents that included, singing, dancing, skating, playing musical instruments, acting, martial arts and even cooking!!!! The confidence that each child displayed was astounding. The students enthralled the audience with their scintillating displays and performances.
The show ended with a Vote of thanks from the Kindergarten Coordinator Ms Beatrice Maunda. Special thanks were given to the Management and Committees for facilitating the event. She appreciated the Staff and Parents who have supported and encouraged the students.
